About Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood is a widely recognised actor with a career across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Punjabi cinema. His role in Dabangg in 2010 brought him into the mainstream, and he has since appeared in a long list of films in several genres.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he arranged transport home for hundreds of thousands of stranded migrant workers, funded medical equipment and set up scholarship programmes. That work earned him the United Nations Development Programme's SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award and changed how the public sees him. He continues to run welfare initiatives alongside his film career.
He speaks with warmth and without pretence about resilience, what it means to carry public influence, and what large-scale relief work looks like when you are the one answering the phone calls. He connects easily with corporate audiences, students and CSR forums, and switches between Hindi, English, Punjabi and Telugu as the room requires. A strong choice for Founder's day, CSR summits and campus events that want a celebrity with a serious message.
